Throwing and Sculpting Closed Forms with Don and Christina from Fishpaint5 - February 19th at 8pm EST

Don from Fishpaint5 here! My pottery career started by making pinch pot pumpkins 34 years ago - I've loved pumpkins for their beauty since I was 3. Shortly after my first pinch pot show, I learned to throw...then it hit me! I can try to throw pumpkins! Two years later I had a sellout gallery show of only pumpkins - wheel thrown tiny ones, up to a giant 200lb masterpiece.

Cristina and I started to work together shortly after we were married and Cristina really started to enjoy sculpting on wheel thrown forms that I would throw. Pears, apples, owls, cats and eventually penguins have been some of the beautiful creations Cristina has come up with.

We're going to teach you all about creating closed forms and sculpting them magically into something really special!
