Intro to Plaster: Making a Damp Box with Jody Lewis -Workshop Recording
This is a previously recorded workshop. You will have access to the recording of this workshop for 90 days. Once your purchase, I will send you an email with the access info!
Workshop Description:
In this workshop, Jody will walk you through each step of making your very own damp box.
A damp box is a plastic bin with a layer of plaster in the bottom that can keep clay damp enough to work with for a long time. In a large bin you can keep mugs or bowls at the leatherhard stage and come back to them whenever you're ready to trim. In a smaller bin you can store handles for months until you need them.
Have you ever thought:
"I've been meaning to make a damp box for ages."
"Plaster is just so daunting to start working with."
"I just don't know where to start."
At the end of this workshop, I hope you'll say, "Wow, that's actually super easy!"
Artist Bio:
Jody is a functional potter living on Vancouver Island, Canada. He makes functional work that can be described as clean, simple, modern, and elegant.
