Creating Your Own Glaze Palette with Heidi Fahrenbacher - Workshop Recording

$40.00

This is a previously recorded workshop. You will have access to the recording of this workshop for 90 days. Once your purchase, I will send you an email with the access info!

Workshop Description:

Ever wonder how to turn a base glaze into your own color palette? Heidi Fahrenbacher, of Bella Joy Pottery will show students how to use a base glaze formula to make your own color palette. Don't worry if math isn't your thing.

Students will learn basic glaze making skills including how to read a glaze formula, how to calculate ingredients, and how to mix a base glaze with one additional color. This class will be geared toward mid-range glazes, but the techniques and information can be applied to low and high fire glazes.

Artist Bio:

Heidi Fahrenbacher is an artist and educator from Plainwell, MI. She graduated in 2002 with a Bachelor of Arts in Fine Art and Art History from Kalamazoo College. Her work is sold nationwide in galleries and gift shops and has been featured on the Today Show, the Museum of Art and Design, 500 Ceramics Sculptures, and 500 Ceramic Vases. She has written for Pottery Making Illustrated, presented at the National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts (NCECA), and Michigan Mud.
