Lids and Teapots with Jon Stein - Workshop Recording

$40.00

This is a previously recorded workshop. You will have access to the recording of this workshop for 90 days. Once your purchase, I will send you an email with the access info!

Workshop Description:

Join Jon for an in-depth workshop exploring the design and construction of various lid styles. He’ll demonstrate techniques for making and finishing different types of lids and discuss each of their applications. The session will conclude with The construction of a teapot.

Artist Bio:

Jon Stein is a potter and educator from Cincinnati, Ohio. Before completing his BFA at Northern Kentucky University, he traveled to Japan to study traditional wood-firing techniques. After graduating, he worked with artists with developmental disabilities, reinforcing his belief that creative experiences with clay enhance quality of life. He pursued an MFA at Utah State University and focused his research on the use of glazes in atmospheric firing. In 2019, he returned to Cincinnati to serve as Education Director at Queen City Clay. Teaching opportunities, artist residencies, and pottery festivals continue to shape his studio practice.
