Wire Stamps & Appliques on Hand Built Mugs with Juliann Roush - July 13th at 12pm EST
Workshop Description:
In this 2 hour class, I will be demonstrating how to make wire stamps. I will make a handful of different designs, then I will use my custom stamps to make a slab built mug or two with stamped textured impressions and appliqués. I will also show you how I make textured coil handles that are really comfortable to hold. I will finish the workshop with a demonstration of how I glaze my work with squeeze bottles with a few tips and tricks.
Artist Bio:
Juliann Roush is a functional potter based in Northern Michigan, known for her brightly colored, slab-built pottery featuring rich textures, stamps, and uplifting quotes. With a background in international business, she rediscovered clay at City College of San Francisco and has since worked as a studio tech, gallery owner, and full-time ceramic artist. Today, she teaches workshops and creates in her home studio, with work shown in galleries nationwide including Eutectic (OR) and Charlie Cummings Gallery (FL).
Once you purchase the workshop, you will receive an email with the Zoom link and any other info that you need before joining! You’ll receive a recording of the 1.5-2 hour session, as well, for 6 months of access.
