Throwing Efficiently with Becca Otis - September 18th at 8pm EST

Becca Otis is a potter who has been tossin clay since 2009 and selling full time since 2014. She specializes in efficient movements while throwing, specifically small items. She has been a production potter for most of her career and just doesn’t like wasting movement. In 2022 she bought a van and moved into it (on purpose) and has been traveling and potting ever since.

In this class we will be going over the steps in throwing a cylinder, from the perspective of making it work more efficiently for you. Going beyond the original teachings to the reason behind why certain movements may work better for speed and consistency. This class is geared towards potters who have the basic knowledge and practice of throwing. This class will be a better experience if you have centering down to something that is fairly easy for you.

Once you purchase the workshop, you will receive an email with the Zoom link and any other info that you need before joining. You’ll receive a recording of the 1-1.5 hour session with access for 60 days, so even if you can’t make it live you’ll still learn loads!
