Throwing Tall with Don from Fishpaint5 - November 27th at 8pm EST

My name is Don Williams, I’ve been an artist all of my life, creating beautiful pottery for 33 years. I have found great joy in teaching pottery to people around the world and in person. I am a lead teacher at the Morean Center for Clay in St. Petersburg, Florida. My wife Christina and I have been creating work together for 22 years and have collectors around the world enjoying our work.

I have developed many techniques for achieving taller and bigger forms using body leverage, the forces of gravity and centrifugal force to work for us. You will see in this workshop that being tall or super strong is not required to create bigger, taller and lighter work. I have also developed a special stacking technique that helps us achieve VERY large forms, all in one session.

In this workshop I will intensely teach these techniques, along with many other tips, for creating beautiful shapes on the wheel.
